Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. Logistical Issues Affecting The Process Of Cantonment Areas CTSAMVM Reports




CTSAMVM commonly know as the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring and Verification Mechanism Chairperson Reports that logistics is one of the major issue affecting the cantonment area process in South Sudan. 
 
CTSAMVM Chairperson Major General Dedra Agent in his own statement said that “Regarding cantonment, the cantonment areas identified for all armies and verification process are underway, but it is far from complete as there are many logistical challenges. We appreciate the sharing of information by the JDB on this critical task” 
 
After the CTSAMVM Chairperson, Mr.  Yiwodo Otor who happens to be the leader of the SSOA which is also known as South Sudan Opposition alliance said that “Really we have some issues we need to concentrate on, issues of violations, sexual violence and other issues. As stated by the Chairman, cantonment of forces and also we need our MBTs in the areas to go and verify as soon as possible the forces on the ground to locate the cantonments”.
