Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. President Salva Kiir Again Asked Dr. Riek Machar To Return To Juba

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Repeated his earlier request for Dr.  Riek Machar to return to Juba and help in implementation of the peace agreement. 
Just last four weeks ago South Sudan President invited Riek Machar to come home to implement the transitional government which Dr. Riek Machar declined because of security reasons.  
Speaking this morning in during the transitional legislative assembly the President reiterated that “In the spirit of this peace agreement and our experience in Rome I once more extend my invitation to Dr. Riek Marcher to return home. I have completely forgiven him and all I ask from him is to become a peace partner for he is no longer my opponent, we have agreed and then we have to work together”
So we expect Riek Machar in Juba by November when he requested for the six months extension to form the interim government.

South Sudanese are the leading Miraa (KHAT) Chewers in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Kakuma Refugee Miraa chewers initially are people from the Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya origins but recently South Sudanese Miraa chewers have overtaken both Somalia and Ethiopia to become the number one Miraa Chewers in the camp. According to one of our correspondent who has been in the camp for more than (15) fifteen years he said that “The number started increasing from the year 2010 and now in the year 2019 the number is too high.” By 2 PM that is exactly the time, Miraa (KHAT) is brought to the camp via Lodwar . South Sudanese Children will be seen around 1PM loitering Somalia or Ethiopian Market waiting for Miraa. Catholic University Of South Sudan on Thursday will host a high level panel to look into: 1. The role that our mothers or Women play in the current peaceful process in South Sudan. The high level panel debate is supposed to be a roadmap for the current peace process in South Sudan. The debate will also look into Sexual Gender Based Violence.  This will be dealt with in accordance to the cessation of hostilities.
