‎Health, Relief, and National Security Shake Up Signals New Political Realignment ‎ ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a wave of presidential decrees, reshuffling leadership in three of South Sudan’s most sensitive institutions: the Ministry of Health, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), and the National Security Service (NSS). ‎ ‎The decrees, announced on State-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening, have already ignited heated political debate. Central Equatoria Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has briefed President Kiir on the State Government's endeavor to improve farming through investment


On Tuesday, the Governor reported to the President about his recent investment tour to the Middle East and Turkey, where he wooed entrepreneurs to come and invest in Central Equatoria State.


Governor Adil said the State government has distributed a number of tractors to the counties as "a significant development aimed at strengthening agricultural production and enhance food security in the country".


While in the Middle East, Governor Adil said he explored potential partnerships with investors in the agricultural sector to increase food production, hence  eradicate hunger in the country. 


He also presented a report about the situation in the state, and the preparedness for the upcoming general elections.


The Governor said Equatoria region is ready to hold the  SPLM rally for the endorsement of President Kiir as the flag bearer of SPLM party for 2024 General elections.
