Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. EAC postpones heads of state retreat on infrastructure and health financing




The East African Community of EAC Secretariat announces postponement of Heads of State Retreat on Infrastructure, Health Financing and Development. Heads of State Retreat on Infrastructure, Health Financing and Development has been postponed announces the East African Community Of EAC Secretariat.

The retreat was scheduled to take place on November 28 and 29 in Kampala, Uganda.

The Secretariat in statement on Thursday says the postponement follows consultations and guidance from Chairperson of the EAC Heads of State President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

It adds that EAC leaders are expected to attend African Union Heads of State-European Union Summit in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire from November 29 to 30.



The EAC body says the papers and registrations for participants and exhibitors received will retain an active status until the rescheduled date.

The Secretariat greatly appreciates any support and understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
