SSPDF and Agwelek Forces Capture New Fangak in Jonglei State ‎

‎ SSPDF Soldier  ‎Government troops from the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF), backed by the Agwelek militia, have taken control of New Fangak (Phom) in Fangak County, Jonglei State, following a coordinated military offensive against forces loyal to the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-in-Opposition (SPLA-IO) and the White Army. ‎ ‎Major General Paromi Angui, the SSPDF operations commander and deputy commander of Agwelek forces, confirmed the capture, stating that the operation began on May 12 and resulted in the seizure of both New Fangak town and the Alel area to its south. ‎ ‎According to Gen. Paromi, government forces suffered minimal losses, with one soldier killed and a few others wounded.  ‎ ‎He claimed that the opposition suffered heavier casualties and reported the capture of two SPLA-IO fighters. Imatong State New Cabinet Sworn In


Imatong State Sworn in new ministers and members of state commissions as they took oath on Monday in Torit.
This is the full list of the Ministerial positions: Margret Idwa Okuye for Information, Rueben Emmy Walter for Rural Development and Ongejuk Vitali Martin for Gender Child and Social Welfare.They also created a new slot of the advisor to the governor on Girl-Child Education Environment was also sworn into office.

Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo


State Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo directs the new members of the cabinet to adhere to their duties in delivering services to the people of Imotong. He further reiterated by saying that the reshuffle of the cabinet is a result of the newly created ministries by the presidential order.

The only omitted position that eventually used to exist has been emitted which is: Advisor on Economy at the governor’s office and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs no longer exists, he enlightens the public.

Margret Idwa Okuye, new Minister of Information Culture, Youth and Sport expresses readiness to take information to people in their various localities across the state.



She believes giving people moral support amidst economic crisis in the country, gives them hope for their future.

Minister Idwa pledges that her ministry will try to pass information that unites the people in bringing peace to the state and the country at large.
