Wits University Of South Africa Invites South Sudanese Journalists to Attend Investigative Journalist Training

South Africa will be hosting a number of Journalists from south who will participate in the Global Investigative Journalism training in Johannesburg.

Anton Harber Head of Wits University says the event started on Wednesday mostly to support global networking on investigative reporting and many more aspect of reporting further he says the course indicates the importance of international collaboration that, supporting group work has become part of investigative journalism.

Bringing the course for the first time to Africa is to highlight the interest and the best work of investigative journalism in the continent, Harber stresses.

The Investigative Journalism Programme at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University) offers courses in investigative and data journalism, organizes the annual African investigative journalism conference Power Reporting, manages fellowships and grants for investigative projects, and sponsors the Taco Kuiper Award
