The Supreme Court Upholds Uhuru's Win




The Supreme Court has upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta's Re-election on October 26 poll.

The rulling was made on Monday at 10 am by a six -Judge bench led by the Chief justice David Maraga. The The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat election conducted on Thursday, October 26. Chief Justice David Maraga said the Supreme Court judges unanimously dismissed the three petitions filed to challenge Uhuru's win.




Delivering the ruling that took less than 10 minutes, the Chief Justice said the three petitions as filed did not convince the court to nullify, for a second time, Uhuru's win. The court ruled that the repeat election was legitimate and Uhuru was validly elected. Maraga said the judges could not write the full judgement as they had only two days to make a determination
