Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. East Africa Community to Participate in UN climate Change Convention in Germany

The East African Community Secretariat is taking part in the ongoing twenty-third Conference of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate from sixth to seventeenth in Bonn, Germany.
 
The EAC Secretariat is showcasing achievements and lessons learned from the implementation of climate change programmes in the region.
 
The Community participation is an opportunity for the EAC delegation to share experiences, success stories and best practices in implementing its vision 2050.
 
It is also sharing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.
 
The EAC delegates are organizing events relating to the climate change negotiation in different exhibition areas and outside the conference premises.
 
The EAC Secretariat will take the opportunity of the Conference on climate change to engage in bilateral discussions with new and existing development partners to assist in implementing the UN Framework Convention and the Paris Agreement.
