Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising.   The government of  has conveyed support to the IGAD peace process in Sudan headed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit. This comes as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Shumizu Shinsuke, met President Kiir in Juba on Friday.  Speaking in a joint media briefing Ambassador Shinsuke says he consulted with President Kiir on the conflict in Sudan, where Japan called for strict observance of ceasefire and allowing humanitarian assistance to reach the civilians trapped by conflict. Dier Tong Ngor And WFP Country Director Mary Ellen McGroarty The government of South Sudan contributed a total of $15 Million Dollars ‘fifteen million dollars’ to the World Food Program ‘WFP’. The money was to be used to tackle and respond to emergency situations that might or is currently occurring in South Sudan.   The director of World Food Program, Mrs. Mary Ellen McGroarty made the announcement shortly after a signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of South Sudan in Juba on Wednesday.   Hon. The MRI test was conducted on the 26th April 2023 to ensure that all players meet the age eligibility criteria set by the competition's regulations.
