The Azande Kingdom King, His Majesty Atoroba Peni Rikito yesterday visited president Kiir and updated the president on the situation in Western Equatoria. 


The King of Azande Kingdom his Majesty Atoroba Peni Rikito has told President Kiir that the security situation in Western Equatoria State is deplorable.


While briefing the President on the situation in the Kingdom's territory on Wednesday, the King says many people are displaced in the areas around Tombura due to conflict.


Atoroba said the presence of armed Ambororo tribesmen in the area is causing a great security threat to the people.


The Azande Kingdom King was accompanied by the Kingdom's prominent leaders from Tombura and Ezo counties, which are experiencing difficult situations.


President Kiir promised to support the leadership of the  Kingdom in order to help restore and maintain security in Western Equatoria State.


The Zande, also known as Azande Kingdom was a kingdom predominantly dominated by the Zande people or tribe. 


Azande Kingdom is located in Western Equatoria State of South Sudan. Its royal seat or capital is based in Yambio which is also the state capital of Western Equatoria State.
