Security Breach at Paloch Airstrip: Two National Security Officers Arrested ‎

Assistant Chief of Defence Forces For Operation and Training.  ‎Tension flared in Upper Nile State on Tuesday after two national security personnel were arrested for attempting to forcibly enter Paloch Airstrip.  ‎ ‎According to the State Governor, the incident triggered a brief exchange of fire, though calm was quickly restored. ‎ ‎This alarming development comes at a time when Paloch and surrounding areas are already grappling with a deteriorating security situation.  ‎ ‎Over the weekend, at least seven people were killed and four others injured during a deadly attack at Paloch market in Melut County. The attackers fled the scene and remain at large. ‎ ‎Authorities have not yet released details about the motive behind the airstrip breach, but investigations are ongoing. President Kiir Held Talks With Delegates From United Kingdom (UK)


President Salva Kiir Mayardit held talks this morning with a delegation from the United Kingdom.

The delegation was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrew Stephenson on the peace process in South Sudan.

President Kiir discussed a wide range of issues seeking to bolster bilateral relations between South Sudan and the United Kingdom.

National Salvation Front (NAS) Said South Sudan Government Is Planning To Launch A Major Offensive Against NAS Forces

Mr. Andrew reiterated the United Kingdoms commitment towards supporting the government and the people of South Sudan in achieving lasting peace and development for the country.
