‎Health, Relief, and National Security Shake Up Signals New Political Realignment ‎ ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a wave of presidential decrees, reshuffling leadership in three of South Sudan’s most sensitive institutions: the Ministry of Health, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), and the National Security Service (NSS). ‎ ‎The decrees, announced on State-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening, have already ignited heated political debate. Gok State Assembly Removed Its Speaker


Gok State Speaker has been relived from his duties by God State Assembly. 

The speaker known as Veronica Umjuma Philip  was dismissed after the state members of parliament passed a decision to sack him  on 30-June-2019.

Sixteen Members of Gok State Assembly raised the motion for the removal of the speaker immediately. 

The motion was raised when the speaker posted sensitive information regarding Gok State to the Social Media and this triggered the move to sack her.

Gok State Assembly earlier this year also impeached the State Minister Of Local Government and two Commissioners and one Member of Parliament. 

Gok State is one of 32 States in South Sudan and was formerly part of the Lakes State and it boarders Tonj State and Lakes State. In 2014 Gok State Had a population of 174,460.
