Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. President Salva Kiir Visits Museveni To Inform Him Of The Revitalized Peace Agreement Process

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the State House in Entebbe on Saturday.

President Salva Kiir who is in Uganda for a one day working visit on the invitation of President Kaguta Museveni held bilateral talks with his Ugandan counterpart and the progress on the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.

Minister in the office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng and Director General of external security Thomas Duoth accompanied President Salva Kiir to Entebbe Uganda where he was highly received by Uganda senior government officials.

The Minister in the office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng said, President Salva Kiir brief President Museveni on the progress for the implementation of the peace deal especially on the formation of the national army.

Minister Mayiik said, President Salva Kiir brief President Museveni on his efforts to bring peace and stability in the neighboring country the Sudan.

The two leaders also discussed the construction of the Yei-Kaya highway. Yei-Kaya Road is a major trade route, connecting South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The construction project is funded by Uganda government to South Sudan.
