Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. President Salva Kiir Visits Museveni To Inform Him Of The Revitalized Peace Agreement Process


President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the State House in Entebbe on Saturday.

President Salva Kiir who is in Uganda for a one day working visit on the invitation of President Kaguta Museveni held bilateral talks with his Ugandan counterpart and the progress on the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.

Minister in the office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng and Director General of external security Thomas Duoth accompanied President Salva Kiir to Entebbe Uganda where he was highly received by Uganda senior government officials.

The Minister in the office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng said, President Salva Kiir brief President Museveni on the progress for the implementation of the peace deal especially on the formation of the national army.

Minister Mayiik said, President Salva Kiir brief President Museveni on his efforts to bring peace and stability in the neighboring country the Sudan.

The two leaders also discussed the construction of the Yei-Kaya highway. Yei-Kaya Road is a major trade route, connecting South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The construction project is funded by Uganda government to South Sudan.
