Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. His firearm, a G3 rifle, was stolen after the shooting. ‎ ‎Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, saying the assailants struck before other officers at the examination center could respond. “We lost one of our officers this morning while he was on official duty securing KCSE exam materials. President Kiir Met With Delegation Of Investors From Canada and United States Of America

The President of the Republic, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit met with a delegation of investors from Canada and the United States of America who are interested to invest in South Sudan in the areas of real estate, mining, oil refinery, manufacturing of metals, and advisory to financial institutions.

The President met with the business investors from Canada and the United States in a meeting attended by a number of national ministers at the state house on Thursday.

The chairman of CVMR corporation Kamran M khozan  appreciated President Salva Kiir for creating a condusive and friendly environment for investors to come and invest in South Sudan.

Meanwhile South Sudan deputy head mission to United States of America, ambassador Gordon Buay said, the country is peaceful for investors tLo come and invest.

A Sudanese Arabic newspaper is reporting that Riek Machar has hired Janjaweed as his bodyguards for his return to South Sudan. The Janjaweed have been renamed “Rapid Support Forces” and helped to suppressed the Sudanese protestors who toppled Bashir. Dr Riek who is currently in Khartoum will be accompanied by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of Janjaweed who is currently part of Sudan’s ruling Sovereign Council. The newspaper Al-Intibaha quoting unnamed sources in the Government of South Sudan reported that Riek will return to South Sudan next month to meet with President Kiir. The paper did not specify the date of the meeting.
