Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. His firearm, a G3 rifle, was stolen after the shooting. ‎ ‎Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, saying the assailants struck before other officers at the examination center could respond. “We lost one of our officers this morning while he was on official duty securing KCSE exam materials. Teacher Murdered In A Revenged Attack By Unknown Gunmen In Gok State

Gok State witnessed the murder of a primary school teacher in the town of Cueibet, as local officials confirmed the news.

The teacher who was teaching at Cueibet Girls Primary was shot by unknown gunmen and was reported dead said Isaac Mayom the State Minister of Local Government.  
“The teacher was killed at around 8 pm in the market.“
Hon. Isaac Mayom further said that "there are people who are primary suspects but investigations are still underway."

The teacher was murdered as a result of a revenge attack. The revenge attack is very common in South Sudan.  
The relative of the deceased teacher confirmed that the killing was indeed as a result of a revenge attack “the incident occurred at 7:30 pm, and those who killed him are not known but it was just a revenge killing.”

A Sudanese Arabic newspaper is reporting that Riek Machar has hired Janjaweed as his bodyguards for his return to South Sudan. The Janjaweed have been renamed “Rapid Support Forces” and helped to suppressed the Sudanese protestors who toppled Bashir. Dr Riek who is currently in Khartoum will be accompanied by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of Janjaweed who is currently part of Sudan’s ruling Sovereign Council. The newspaper Al-Intibaha quoting unnamed sources in the Government of South Sudan reported that Riek will return to South Sudan next month to meet with President Kiir. The paper did not specify the date of the meeting.
