Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Civil Servants Who Worked In Sudan From 1975-2011 To Receive Pensions


Former Civil servants Who Worked in the Khartoum government from 1975-2011 are now legible to receive their pensions starting next year on march. 

The South Sudan Pension Fund Manager Mr. Jacob Nul said that delegations from Khartoum are now in Juba with the funds too.

The Khartoum delegation comprise of 8 members they are to calculate the pensions of the workers and transfer the money to the Central Bank.  

"The pension and Insurance Fund of Sudan has appointed 8 members committee that combines the military and police and civil servant fund,” said Jacob Nul. 

He further added by saying that 

“And they will be here for five days for dialogue and consultation in technicalities that involve the calculations of the contribution of south Sudanese who were then Sudanese,”

"So, they are here to calculate and see the passable way to repatriate this money to the central bank of South Sudan to be managed and given to the right owners for those who had worked in Sudan from 1975 up to 2011 when we got independence.”

The Junubin Pensioners will be able to be paid their rightful amount of money for the work they did from 1975-2011. 

He is calling on to South Sudanese to spread the messages around. The beneficiaries should also come with their file number too.
