Leadership Change: Tejwok Simon Ajak Replaces John Akec as NCA Board Chairman ‎

South Sudan Catholic Church Denounces Sexual Gender Base Violence.



South Sudan Catholic Church finally decided to distance themselves with all form of human rights abuse and also the common Gender Based Violence in South Sudan (SGBV) and the Catholic Church said that Gender Based Violence is wrong.


South Sudan Catholic Churches said that South Sudan Should accept that Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) exists in South Sudan and it is our duty as South Sudanese to combat it in all aspects of live since it has caused countless crisis in South Sudan. 


The Catholic Leaders attended a training that was conducted by the UISG or the Justice and Peace International Union Of Superior General In south Sudan. The Catholic Faith group attended the training for five days. 


At the end of the training the Catholic Church gave their recommendations:

1.      Sexual Gender Based Violence should and must be taught in all Catholic schools in South Sudan and must be in the curriculum.


2.      All Catholic Children must be taught and trained on SGBV in South Sudan mostly at grassroots level so as to restore the country dignity. 


According to National Catholic ReporterThe Catholic community bears a unique, even sacred responsibility for denouncing the sins of violence and sexism. This responsibility is rooted in Jesus' liberating witness and the prophetic demands of Christian discipleship. As the people of God, we are called to the forefront of the human struggle for freedom, a struggle epitomized in the suffering of women. In confronting gender-based violence, our efforts must begin with an eradication of its presence in our church itself.


Catholic church do not support any terms of mishaps mostly in relations to sexism in the world.
