Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Gen. Kuol Manyang Said That Our Suffering Is Biblical Curse

 


Gen. Kuol Manyang Said our suffering was prophesized by prophet Isaiah in the bible that God will punish us.

He urges the south sudanese community not to blame the government since the curse was foretold in the bible. 

The war veteran said that the curse will continue untill the end of times but that won't stop him to continue praying for South Sudan.

“I am not frustrated with the current situation – the wars. I tell people we [SPLM] are not responsible and not to be blamed for this insecurity. This is something prophesied by the prophet Isaiah. God punished Sudan and we are the Sudanese,” said Gen. Kuol.

"The prophecy was before even Christ, how do they know that there is the country that is going to be called Sudan at that time, even when we became independent,"

"We clicked on the word Sudan, we don’t move out of Sudan name, and we don’t create a new name and we are Sudanese,"

“We knew very well that Sudan has been cursed in the Bible. So, this curse continues to be until the time God will say enough is enough, now then the people of South Sudan become free, I don’t blame us as a punishment of God.”
