Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Former South Sudan Football Association Boss Arrested By Police Over Corruption


Mr.  Chabur Goc Alei the former South Sudan Football Association Chairman was today arrested by the South Sudan Police and will face charges of misappropriation of funds and making the Football Association assets as his own.  
The arrested was after FIFA released a report indicating that Mr.  Chabur embezzled over 2000,000 USD was meant to develop South Sudan football.  The arrest was made under the directive of South Sudan Football Association.  
The South Sudan Football Association said that the former boss refused to return some of the assets back and it triggered his arrest.  
It was also believed that the former chairman used to offer gifts as a form of bribery which is also a violation of the FIFA Code ethics.  
FIFA banned for former chairman from ever participating in any football related activities in and outside South Sudan for 10 years.
