17 Year Old Boy Shot By National Security Officer In Bor


A rogue National Security Officer Shot a 17 year old boy in Bor during the celebration of the SPLA day.  
Atong Kuol Manyang, The Jonglei State Minister Of information said that “According to the report we got, the soldier was under the influence of Bangi/Marijuana.” 
According to the State Minister Of Information the officer was heavy intoxicated with bang and alcohol.
The confrontation started when the officer spotted the kid putting on a unique cap which can change it colors when exposed to sunlight.  
The uncle of the kid said that “He asked the boy why he was putting on such a cap, the boy wondered why he could not wear such a cap. He told the officer it is just a normal cap. But the soldier took the cap from the boy’s head, and walked away.” 
The uncle further said that “The boys followed him, trying to persuade him to forgive them and return the cap, but he immediately turn around and shot one of the boys on the leg.” 
The wounded boy is currently under medication in Bor Civil Hospital. The officer is also under arrest as he awaits to be arraign in the Court as the State Information Minister confirms “The person who shot him was an officer of the National security and the step that was taken by the government yesterday -immediately after the incident was to arrest him, and hand the matter over to the police.”
