Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. President Kiir today received full credentials from (6) six incoming ambassadors to South Sudan. The Ambassadors will aim at bolstering diplomatic relations. 

The incoming of the six Ambassadors event underscores South Sudan's ongoing efforts to enhance its international relationships and strengthen partnerships with key nations and institutions. 

The reception of credentials from envoys of Norway, the Holy See, the Netherlands, Canada, Türkiye, and Somalia reflects Juba's commitment to fostering cooperation on various fronts, including trade, culture, and global security.

The ambassadors' assurance to work closely with South Sudan highlights mutual intentions to deepen bilateral relations and explore areas of shared interest. 

Speaking at the event, President Kiir reiterated South Sudan's commitment to consolidating bilateral ties with the new envoys of the respective countries, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration in areas such as trade,culture, and global security as they begin their diplomatic tour of duty in the country.
