Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. South Sudanese are the leading Miraa (KHAT) Chewers in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Kakuma Refugee Miraa chewers initially are people from the Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya origins but recently South Sudanese Miraa chewers have overtaken both Somalia and Ethiopia to become the number one Miraa Chewers in the camp. According to one of our correspondent who has been in the camp for more than (15) fifteen years he said that “The number started increasing from the year 2010 and now in the year 2019 the number is too high.” By 2 PM that is exactly the time, Miraa (KHAT) is brought to the camp via Lodwar . South Sudanese Children will be seen around 1PM loitering Somalia or Ethiopian Market waiting for Miraa. This has in fact affected their afternoon classes instead of going for the afternoon classes they will be seen waiting for Miraa anxiously. Major Anomaly Appears At Paloch Oilfield Report Released by Dar-Petroleum

South Sudan National minister of Petroleum today identified an anomaly in Dar petroleum regarding the amount of oil they produced at Paloch oil field on daily basis. Mr Ezekiel found out that the daily oil production does not add up. The Minister said that “ We have more wells than last time [but] since 2016 when I became the minister of Petroleum, every day your report is 130 thousand barrels per day why."  The report always shows that the oil production always indicates production of 130,000 barrels per day and the oil field has undergone a series of maintenance and also some of the oil wells have been opened and resumed production of the oil. The Minister was speaking to Eye Radio and also when the representative from Dar-Petroleum was contacted to report or give their part of the story. National Salvation Front (NAS) Respond to Accusation From SPLMA-IO and SSPDF

"All these accusations that they are making are baseless and do not have any sense. They are in a panic because the revitalized peace agreement they signed is not moving forward. TWO REFUGEES COMMITTED SUICIDE IN KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP DUE TO HUNGER

One male refugee residing in Kakuma 4 has opted to commit suicide rather than die of hunger in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The Refugees food rationing has dropped drastically by a third after the introduction of bamba chakula in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The other victim is a girl who is a minor and a size one. The young girl cannot fend for herself since the food given to the refugee was supposed to take them for (30) Thirty instead of the usual (15) Fifteen days which was very adequate for the refugee. The food rationing in Kakuma Refugee Camp has dropped after WFP World Food Program opted to add a further (15) fifteen days for the consumption of the meagre food rationing they provide in the camp.   The reason behind the added (15) Fifteen days is that WFP World Food program is also providing Bamba Chakula which is in term of Mobile money in which the refugees can buy whatever food item they might need to consume rather the one already planned by UNHCR and WFP World Food Program. Joint forces including the SPLM-IO and SSPDF today decided to visit the people of YEI specifically the people of Morobo Payam in the YEI RIVER COUNTY in accordance with the on-going peace agreement in the country. South Sudan Chief of General Staff Mr Jok says that the joint forces are in accordance with the signed peace agreement and he also urged the people to unite and work for peace. Secondary School Girl Escapes Forced Marriage In Rumbek

A form three student from Loreto Girls Secondary School in Rumbek has escaped a force marriage which she had no idea of and had no consent to the so called marriage which was well organized behind her back. Mr. Mangong Luka paid the parents of Athiei a total of (90) Ninety cows. The cows after being received by Athiei parents automatically makes Athiei the wife of Mr. Mangong Luka. Athiei further added that she told her parents to be patient when it comes to marriage since she had only one dream to complete her education first then the issue of the marriage will come later. She further advises her fellow girls and the South Sudanese girls to always seek help from the government when faced with similar issue like the one she just underwent. Police Officer Commit Suicide in Torit State

The people of Hai Ifwanyak today were awoken to a sad morning when the news of one of the police officer was found dead in Hai Ifwanyak. The police Officer also works in the department of operations in Torit State. It is believed that the late Mr. James Omiyang hanged himself at around 7:00 AM. In the morning hours. That was the time exactly the body was found by the relatives in Hai-Ifwanyak area in Torit. The police Major in Torit State, Major Justine who is also the chief inspector of police in Torit state has confirmed that the cause of his death is still unknown and major investigations are underway to determine the cause of his death. 450 people are confirmed to be HIV/AIDs positive in Tonj

HIV/AIDs is on the rise in Tonj after over 400 people have been confirmed to be HIV/AIDs positive, this is the result from all the counties from the state. It is confirmed that the majority of the HIV/AIDs have been identified to be residing in the town part of Tonj and a few hundred from the villages. South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) struggle is associated with the vacant Vice President post that was announced by the president according to Gabriel Changson one of the prominent figures in the (SSOA). In an interview with Voice Of America  he said that the group members are accusing him of betrayal since he met with South Sudan first Vice President Taban Deng Gai in Washington United States Of America. The son of late Dr. John Garang is sick and is currrently admitted at an disclosed hospital in Nairobi Kenya. The former South Sudan Minister of Water is currently admitted in ICU due to kidney failure and we still don't know when he will be released from the ICU. The reason of the Kidney failure is as a result of heavy drinking of Alcohol. Mabior Garang is known for his stylish lifestyle and also for heavy drinking. The doctors also added that it might also be as a result of Marijuana too. Earlier this year he was also reported in a critical condition In Dar-es-Salaam due to over does of drugs which resulted in him passing out. His friends and people who knows him called a drug addict bluntly. Breaking News: Peace talk has collapse in the lakes states

The authorities in the lake decided to counsel the peace initiative until further notice due to the recent rampant killing that had occurred in both the eastern and western lakes state in rumbek and yirol respectively. The main reasons to why the peace process was stopped are because the paramount chief of the Eastern lakes state was brutally murdered with his son. The paramount chief was murdered with his son while attending the peace initiative. Junub Sudan receives 80 million dollars for humanitarian assistant

Humanitarian assistance in South Sudan The UN OFFICE  for Humanitarian Affairs Co-ordination (OCHA) confirms that South Sudan has been given 80 million dollars to help strengthen humanitarian action in the country. The fund is expected to tackle areas of nutrition, sanitation, food security health and many more of the donor-funded activities in the new nation. The breakdown on the usage of the fund is as follows: Upper Nile and Eastern Equatoria will receive 8 % of the fund, jonglei state will take 33% and unity with 20% respectively.
