This meeting underscores the strengthening diplomatic ties between South Sudan and Egypt, as well as their shared commitment to advancing the African Union's objectives.  President Salva Kiir's reception of Dr. Hanan Morsy's candidacy highlights South Sudan's active role in regional affairs and its support for inclusive leadership within the AU Commission. Dr. Morsy's focus on diversity, inclusivity, and global outreach aligns with the AU's vision for transformative leadership, making her candidacy significant as member states prepare for the upcoming elections in February.  The exchange of goodwill messages between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Kiir further cements the growing cooperation between the two nations.

On arrival, the visiting Head of State will be received by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi where he will be accorded full State reception honors.”

Last month on 17th May South Sudan President visited Kenya to celebrate Kenya's Annual Prayer Breakfast, so the invitation also follows the annual prayer breakfast that happened in may last month.
The two days visit by President Salva Kiir is expected to lay foundation for bilateral engagements and also look into the issue of the boarder with Kenya which is also another talking point.

For those of you who don't know, Kenya contributed towards South Sudan Independence when the machakos protocol was first signed in the year 2002 between Sudan and South Sudan.

Kenya exports to South Sudan is 350.6 Million Dollars and the only product produced in South Sudan was only wood; which contribute to about 1.1 Million Dollars.
