Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. His firearm, a G3 rifle, was stolen after the shooting. ‎ ‎Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, saying the assailants struck before other officers at the examination center could respond. “We lost one of our officers this morning while he was on official duty securing KCSE exam materials. South Sudan National Members Of Parliament Threaten To Impeach Finance Minister If 6 Months Salaries Arrears Not Cleared

South Sudan National Members of parliament (MPs) issued a serious threat to impeach the Finance Minister over outstanding salary arrears.  
The threat came after MPs refused to listen to the budget of 2019/2020 fiscal year resulting into a total chaos in the parliament.
The MPs wanted to know why civil servants have not been paid their six months salary arrears.  
Just last Friday the Finance Minister promise to clear the outstanding arrears within two weeks 
One of the MPsvsaid that “Honorable minister of finance went to the media and informed the public that he was going to pay two months salaries within two weeks. Failure to do so, you will face the consequences.” 
Another female member of parliament also added that “If he cannot fulfill the promise by the second reading, we will impeach him.”
