South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. South Sudan National Members Of Parliament Threaten To Impeach Finance Minister If 6 Months Salaries Arrears Not Cleared

South Sudan National Members of parliament (MPs) issued a serious threat to impeach the Finance Minister over outstanding salary arrears.  
The threat came after MPs refused to listen to the budget of 2019/2020 fiscal year resulting into a total chaos in the parliament.
The MPs wanted to know why civil servants have not been paid their six months salary arrears.  
Just last Friday the Finance Minister promise to clear the outstanding arrears within two weeks 
One of the MPsvsaid that “Honorable minister of finance went to the media and informed the public that he was going to pay two months salaries within two weeks. Failure to do so, you will face the consequences.” 
Another female member of parliament also added that “If he cannot fulfill the promise by the second reading, we will impeach him.”

Thirty Five (35) People Confirmed Dead In Kapoeta Flood.

Governor of Kapoeta Stats Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore confirmed to the media that after a heavy rain in Kapoeta on Tuesday 35 people lost their lives.  The same rain hit various parts of South Sudan like Duk in Jonglei whereby people also died.   Hon. Lobong said that "We lost about 35 people during the heavy rains that hit several counties in the state on 10 June, so this is what happened here."  He added that the flood destroyed people homes and even destroy the bridges.  “We are trying to create awareness among our people to control water-borne diseases,” he said. The flood affected the market in Kapoeta since it cleared all the food store in Kapoeta State. He added.  Finally he is calling out to the humanitarian organization to come and rescue his people plus the government too since many people are dire need of help.  More to come shortly....

Angelina Teny and South Sudan First Lady To Hold Debate On Thursday Regarding Importance Of Women In South Sudan

Catholic University Of South Sudan on Thursday will host a high level panel to look into: 1. The role that our mothers or Women play in the current peaceful process in South Sudan. The high level panel debate is supposed to be a roadmap for the current peace process in South Sudan. The debate will also look into Sexual Gender Based Violence.  This will be dealt with in accordance to the cessation of hostilities.
