MSF Halts Lifesaving Medical Services in Ulang After Violent Armed Attack ‎

  MSF Vehicle.  ‎ In a devastating blow to healthcare access in Upper Nile State, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), known internationally as Doctors Without Borders, has suspended all medical operations in Ulang County following a violent armed attack on its facility. ‎ ‎The assault took place in the early hours of April 14, when dozens of armed men stormed the MSF-run hospital and office in Ulang town.  ‎ ‎Staff were threatened at gunpoint as essential medical supplies and equipment were looted. The hospital Ulang’s only functioning health facility has since been forced to close its doors. ‎ ‎“We are outraged by the attack on our hospital and the threats made against our medical staff,” said Zakariya Mwatia, MSF’s Head of Mission in South Sudan.  ‎ ‎“This facility has been a lifeline for the community during a time of escalating violence and an active cholera outbreak. A Major South Sudanese Protest Underway In Juba



A South Sudanese Youths due to launch a major demonistration in Juba tommorow. Its already kickoff in Wau and Yei. In Malakal and Rumbek expected tommorow.

According to the one of the protesters in Wau Hon: Akoon Athian says, South Sudanese people across the country are likely to come out from door to door and prostest for the steepping down of Salva Kiir who has been jeopardising our living standards for so long.

Demonistration activists in Yei say, the nation needs to adopt the Sudanese claim in Khartoum as another mechanism for the resignation of this incompetence President Gen. Salva Kiir, no matter who are going to be shot in the streets of Juba, but those will remain shall enjoy the freedom this country!
