Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. Women must have 50 percent in the next government of national unity, says Chairperson of Women Bloc of South Sudan.
 
Amer Manyok Deng says women are transparent in nature, caring and carry all the burden of war in the country.
 
The Chairperson justifies that if there are many women in the government, there will be no injustices done to females in the country.
 
Twenty-five percent is little for women because they constitute seventy percent in South Sudan’s population, she criticizes.
 
The Chairperson of Women Bloc of South Sudan spoke to media on Tuesday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in the sideline of the High Level Revitalization Forum for South Sudan organized by IGAD.
