Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. South Sudan Prosecutor Admits That Lack Of Judges Has Led To Prolong Detentions




Imatong State Public prosecutor has admitted that the prolonged detention of suspected criminals is due to inadequate judges in the state.
 
The public prosecutor Mr. John Wani Lado says that it is impossible for prosecutors to perfectly complete work in absence of judges.
 
Wani says his office is working hard to bring more law enforcement officers to ensure work is effective in the area. Mr. Wani also admits that many cases took long in police custody without being forwarded for trial. 
 
The speaker made the remarks with the media after the closure of one-day rule of law forum in Torit on Wednesday
