Kakuma Refugee Camp Students Are Asked To Pay For Their School Fees

The Refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp have to stand still when UNHCR and Windle Trust International starting asking parents to start paying school fees for their children, the refugees have never imagined a thing like that would be said to them.

Windle Trust International is requesting that each child is to pay a total amount of 3,000 ksh per term which is to commence immediately by the beginning of this February and any child who fails to pay that amount of money will never be admitted to the schools in short the learner will just stay at home.

The move by UNHCR and Windle Trust International have been rejected by the refugees since they can't even afford a Meal for themselves and the food ration is not even enough.

Elsewhere the Refugee Head teachers and Deputies have been asked to step down since they are considered unfit to head the Refugee Schools but A Kenyan National will be assigned to Head all the schools and the Deputy will also be a Kenyan then the Highest position a Refugee will get is the Senior teacher.
