South Sudan Ranked As The Second Most Corrupt Country In The World


According to the report retrieved from Transparency International, they have listed South Sudan as the second most corrupt country in the world following it is Somalia making Somalia as the most corrupt country in the world.

The report also indicated New Zealand, Finland and Denmark as the most least corrupt countries in the this country do not condone corruption and it is corruption free. “ This year, New Zealand and Denmark Ranked highest with scores of 89 and 88 respectively. Syria, South Sudan and Somalia ranked lowest with scores of 14,12 and 9 respectively. The best performing region is western Europe with an average of 66.”- Transparency International


Further analysis of the results indicates that countries with the least protection for press and non governmental orgagnisations (NGOs) also tend to have the worst rates of corruption. Atleast every week one journalist is killed in a country that is highly corrupt like Junub Sudan and Somalia.
