President Kiir and VP Nyandeng  ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardiit today met with Vice President Rebecca Nyandeng at the State House in Juba.   ‎ ‎During the meeting, Vice President Nyandeng briefed President Kiir on her recent official visit to Uganda, where she held discussions with President Yoweri Museveni.  ‎ ‎According to a statement from the Office of the President, their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations between South Sudan and Uganda and promoting peace in the region.   ‎ ‎They also addressed key national issues, including the current political and economic developments in South Sudan.  ‎ ‎President Kiir and Vice President Nyandeng reaffirmed their commitment to peace, unity, and development in South Sudan.   ‎ ‎They emphasized the importance of cooperation among leaders and citizens to advance the country's progress and strengthen its relations with neighboring countries.   ‎ ‎This high-level engagement com...

SPLM Hopes To Gain Peace In The Coming Round Of Peace Talk

Wau SPLM Information Secretary said that SPLM is struggling to bring peace to the country though peace talks that is being held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia in order to realize stability in South Sudan.

Mr. Jospeph Ugodo urges South Sudan people to appreciate all good contribution that party had done until the country became independent.


The Information Secretary mentions that some individuals blame the SPLM for not doing enough on peace. He urges those pessimistic about the party to see the relative stability people have in their states now.

Moses worries that there are some members who want to get to power without following democratic processes. The second phase of the revitalization forum ended in mid-February but IGAD is yet to announce when the third round will begin.

‎ SSPDF Soldier  ‎Government troops from the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF), backed by the Agwelek militia, have taken control of New Fangak (Phom) in Fangak County, Jonglei State, following a coordinated military offensive against forces loyal to the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-in-Opposition (SPLA-IO) and the White Army. ‎ ‎Major General Paromi Angui, the SSPDF operations commander and deputy commander of Agwelek forces, confirmed the capture, stating that the operation began on May 12 and resulted in the seizure of both New Fangak town and the Alel area to its south. ‎ ‎According to Gen. “We Are Back”: SSPDF Recaptures Ulang Amid Fractures in the White Army ‎

‎ ‎After weeks of tension and uncertainty, the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) have reentered Ulang town, regaining control from the White Army  a civilian militia that had recently seized power and chased out government authorities. ‎ ‎Maj. Gen. Michael Majok, the army commander overseeing Division 2 in Malakal, confirmed the news Thursday. “We are back in Ulang, thanks to the unity of our forces, the state government, and the support of civilians on the ground,” he said. ‎ ‎Last month, the White Army mainly composed of armed Nuer youth  took over Ulang County, replacing the county commissioner and pushing back against government troop movements in nearby Nasir.  The move sparked fears of renewed regional conflict and cross-border instability with Ethiopia. ‎ ‎But this week’s retaking of Ulang came with surprisingly little resistance.
