Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. Vivacell Closure Is Affecting Money Transfer Business

South Sudanese money transfer operators are complaining that the closure if Vivacell telecommunication has affected their operation.

One of the Branch Manager of Wanhalel Money Transfer Company some of their branches such as Romic and Ngapagok have been closed down because they don't have a better mobile network in their area.

 
One operator pointed out that MTN network sometimes is very difficult to reach and it is inefficient.

 
The Branch manager of Nyamale Money Transfer says MTN network is often Congested  which inefficient and ineffective it to transfer money.

The Money transfer companies are calling on the government to cooperate with Vivacell Company so as to re-open the network.
