 Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors without Borders (MSF), founded in 1971, is an international medical and humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger in more than 60 Countries.

MSF has been present in South Sudan for 35 years, since 1983. MSF–France is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates for the following position: PROTOCOL OFFICE ASSISTANT, based in Juba POST DESCRIPTION Provide support to the Protocol Office, assisting the Host Country Agreement (HCA) Representative and other staff, facilitating our relationships with local and national authorities, contributing to analysis of new legislation, circulars and guidance from ministries. The post-holder will also respond to the ad hoc needs of MSF sections as a result of changes in government procedures, working with coordinators, government interlocutors and other relevant colleagues to devise practical solutions to administrative obstacles

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  Ensure follow-up of relevant administrative dossiers, such as the MSF annual registration, immigration policies and national protocols, and negotiating with Government Officials, when necessary.
 Maintain a strong and up-to-date body of contacts and knowledge of Government Officials and counterparts in various ministries and relevant organizations
 Ensure that MSF is well-understood by the government, and that relevant policies & personnel are well-known within MSF.
 Aiding collaboration between MSF and lawyers in South Sudan to resolve issues arising from new laws and administrative instructions.
 Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and trainings for internal use MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  University level studies (preferably in administration, law, political science or other relevant fields)
 Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a humanitarian organisation or a government agency
  Demonstrable understanding of the laws and policies of South Sudan, particularly relating to finance and taxation, human resources and NGO / international governance
 Fluency in English and at least one local language. Any other relevant linguistic ability is a plus  Proficiency in office systems and tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, others)
