‎The United States has accused President Salva Kiir's government of failing to make sufficient progress in implementing South Sudan’s peace agreement, following the United Nations Security Council’s decision to extend sanctions and the arms embargo on the country for another year. ‎ ‎Addressing the UN Security Council, the United States said the continued sanctions were necessary due to ongoing delays in the implementation of the 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement and the deteriorating political and security situation in the country. ‎ ‎Washington argued that South Sudanese leaders have not demonstrated enough commitment to advancing key reforms required under the peace deal, including security arrangements, political reforms, and preparations for national elections. ‎ ‎The renewed measures include the continuation of the arms embargo, travel restrictions, asset freezes, and the mandate of the UN Panel of Experts monitoring the sanctions regime until May 2027. ‎ ‎The U.S. delegation ...

 Action Africa Help International (AAH-I-I), an international non-profit making agency that implements humanitarian relief, recovery and development projects in Africa, seeks to qualified candidate for the position of Project Food Monitors (General Food Distribution) for its program in South Sudan. Under the overall leadership of the Project Officer (General Food Distribution)

Job Summary:
The Food Monitor is responsible for the day to day community mobilization activities for general food distribution Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
· Arrange for project entry meetings in the project area.
 · Organize and conduct mobilization meetings for creating awareness about the project.
 · Mobilize community members to attend planning meetings, stakeholder workshop, monitoring exercises and evaluation meetings.
· Facilitate the formation of Project management committee and Boma project management committees.
· Together with the PMC and BPMC, organize the registration of project beneficiaries and maintain registration records.
· Together with the PMC, BPMC participate in the identification, registration, validation and selection of beneficiaries for the project.
· Organize selected beneficiaries in to manageable groups and sensitize them on their roles and the code of conduct at food distribution sites.
 · To organize, conclude, and document monthly Food Distribution to targeted households at pre-determined FDP sites.
· Responsible for sensitizing, mobilizing, training, and strengthening Community Based Committees (PMC and BPMC) to verify eligible households to receive rations during monthly distributions.
· Work closely with the Warehouse keepers to organize food delivery to FDP sites on scheduled dates and locations.
· Responsible for accurately documenting all recipient households receiving rations during each distribution.
· Assist the monitoring and reporting assistant to compile, summarize, and analyze distribution and post-distribution information.
 · Together with the community committees report any complains/ grievances arising from the implementation of the project.
· Provide all information and data for preparation of required reports
 · Perform any other task that may be assigned by the supervisor Person specifications · Any relevant certificate or secondary school certificate.
· At least two years previous experience in a similar job. Skills and Competence:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of mobilization
2. A good command of English and Arabic or the local dialect
 3. Ability to work under minimum supervision
 4. President Salva Kiir Mayardit Approves Release of 2025 S.4 Examination Results ‎

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has approved the release of the 2025 South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (S.4) examination results after receiving a briefing from the Ministry of General Education and Instruction on Monday.  ‎ ‎The approval comes as thousands of students across the country have been anxiously awaiting their results, which were delayed for several months after the examinations were conducted in December 2025.  ‎ The delay had affected many candidates seeking admission to universities and other higher learning institutions within and outside South Sudan. ‎ ‎According to the Ministry of General Education and Instruction, the results were finalized and presented to the President before receiving the official authorization for public release.  ‎ The ministry had earlier assured candidates and parents that the results would be announced before the end of May. ‎ ‎Education officials said the release of the results will allow successful candidates to pro...
