‎Health, Relief, and National Security Shake Up Signals New Political Realignment ‎ ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a wave of presidential decrees, reshuffling leadership in three of South Sudan’s most sensitive institutions: the Ministry of Health, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), and the National Security Service (NSS). ‎ ‎The decrees, announced on State-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening, have already ignited heated political debate. South Sudan President Salva Kiir Welcomes The New Press Secretary



South Sudan newly appointed Press Secretary was today well received by His Excellency Salva Kiir. 

Lilly Adhiu Martin will be the first female Press Secretary Secretary after replacing Ateny Wek. 

In her statement she said that "While it is a challenging responsibility that requires incredible dedication and sacrifice, I cannot think of any higher honor and privilege than to serve His Excellency the President and the people of South Sudan in this capacity. I'm fully prepared for the task. As a firmer believer in teamwork, I will work closely with the existing team to steer the Presidential Press Unit to new heights.”

She encourages cordial working environment between the media and the office of the president. 

In another statement she said that “to our colleagues in the media fraternity, my team and I look forward to developing acloser and cordial working relationships as you are key stakeholders towards making South Sudan a better and more open society. My office will be open for you.” She further added.
