Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister HRH Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud today was well received by South Sudan President Salva Kiir.

The Visit by one of Saudi Arabia highest ranking official symbolize the commitment of Saudi Arabia towards building a stronger diplomatic ties with South Sudan. 

His Excellency President Salva Kiir said that “we are so privileged to host you here today as you are the first High Profile Government's official to visit South Sudan from Gulf States since our independence.”

“The visit of your Highness has come at a time when we are consolidating peace in our country and opening up avenues for investment opportunities so that our people can reap the benefits of their abundance natural resources", he added.

The Saudi Foreign Minister said that the people of Saudi Arabia are willing to explore investment and trade opportunity in South Sudan.

Authorities of South Sudan’s Western Lakes State have banned the possession of illegal firearms in the state. Western Lakes States Authorities today banned the civilians from possessing Illegal firearms in the state.   The banned came after series of unprecedented murder cases in the state deeming the insecure  Western Lakes State Governor said that “I, Major general, Mahmoud Solomon Deer Agok, governor of Western Lakes State do hereby issue this order for the banning of illegal armed person movement within the headquarters of all the eleven (11) Counties of Western Lakes State.” The order will not implemented fully minus the support of the armed forces so the governor is calling on all the armed forces in his state to help implement his order.   Citizens of Western Lakes State are happy with the order since they will be able to carry out their daily activities minus fear of unknown gunmen.   South Sudanese what do you think of this brave move by Western Lakes State Gov

Girl In Yirol Beaten To Death For Refusing To Marry

Yirol people today and South Sudan at large are saddened by the news of a 20 year old girl who was beaten to death for refusing to marry a suitor that had been arranged by the parents.   Taban Abel, Minister of Information in Eastern Lakes, told Radio Tamazuj Friday parents forced the girl to marry a man who offered 40 cows to the family as dowry. The State Information Minister Mr Taban Abel confirmed that the parents of the deceased girl forced her to marry a man who tabled an offer 50 cows as a dowry to the family.   After the girl rejected the suitor this forced his own brothers to beat him as a form of disciplining.   In his own words he said that “The father was one who ordered people to kill his daughter because she refused to get married.
