Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. South Sudan Minister Of Health Briefs President Salva Kiir On Ebola Outbreak

South Sudan President His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday was briefed by the Minister of Health, Hon. Yolanda Awel Deng on the Country’s preparedness and response plans to curb the Ebola Virus outbreak in the Country. 

The Health Minister confirmed that South Sudan is free from the Ebola Outbreak buy has received suspected cases at the boarder and the victims are under quarantine at the boarder. 

The Minister assured the public that her department is well equipped in case of an outbreak "We got only suspected cases in the isolation centers at the border and most of those cases are in stable condition. We have collected their samples, and we have sent them to be analysed, and we are still waiting for the results. “Hon. Yolanda Awel, Minister of Health, stated during the meeting on Monday.
