South Sudan National Mps Paid 1.2 Million Pounds to Preach The Peace Deal

South Sudan National (MP) commonly known as Members of Parliament. Has been called upon by the South Sudan President His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit to go back to their constituency in order to pass the message of peace and the peace to their constituencies.

Mr Phillip Ogal, the current deputy chairman of information said that “This is the reality and we must say the truth,” he meant this by saying that the people deserve the know the truth and this means the MPs would take the message far and wide all over South Sudan.

In order for the peace deal message to be sent to the constituencies, this requires money and logistics for the MPs. So the MPs each had been awarded 1.2 Million pounds to cater for their logistical issues and deliver the message effectively to the people of South Sudan.

The 1.2 Million Pounds are just for the regular Members of Parliament (MP) but in the parliament, we also have the chairperson of the select committee. The Chairman of the select committee is to receive 1.6 Million South Sudanese pounds.

The South Sudan Legislative assembly was established in the year 2011 by the interim constitution of South Sudan 2005. It consists of 400/383 number of legislatures and women make 28.46% of that is roughly around 109 Members of Parliament in South Sudan are women.

In accordance with the August 2015 Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan, a 400-member Transitional National Legislative Assembly was established on 4 August 2016. It replaced the National Legislative Assembly. The term of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly will run concurrently with the Transitional Government of National Unity until elections are held.

The Transitional National Assembly can be contacted through the following details. pitiarobert@gmail.com or by phone which is (211) 908 380 632. Those are the few details we have managed to get in order to get in contact with South Sudan National Assembly and make your voice to be heard.
