Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Gubudue State Urges Teachers Not To Work For Money

The Gbudue State Minister of Education Gender Child and Social welfare urges teachers not teach because of money but for the betterment for the future Leaders.     Mr. Philip Michael Education Minister in Gbudue State while talking to the teachers who came to receive their insensitive of 40 US Dollars.  Investigation is underway regarding the bodyguard of the State Minister of Rural development for shooting an SPLA soldier on Monday Evening.  The body guard is accused of shooting an SPLA soldier on Monday evening. Major Jeremiah Faridiri Otoriang, Police Chief Inspector says three SPLA soldiers threatened to cause havoc to body guards of Ministers of Health and Rural Development leading to shootings, Radio Emmanuel reports. He claims that the soldiers were under the influence of alcohol. Major Faridiri says the body guard is in the police custody for safety awaiting trial. He calls on the public to remain calm because the insecurity in Torit town is something to do with personal cases. The Inspector urges citizens to take control of armed men who are drunk in residential areas to avoid unnecessary shootings.

Junub Sudan First Vice President Urges Youth To Work Hard In Order To Curb Corruption

South Sudan First Vice President Mr. Taban Deng Gai advises the Youth to be productive in order to kill the ongoing corruption in South Sudan. The First Vice President of South Sudan stresses that the south Sudanese youth in general should be more creative and active rather than seeking for short cuts. He was talking during the launch of the Ramciel Logo competition project.  . Taban Deng Gai further talked about the issues of South Sudanese being dependent on relatives who hold big post in the country and ask them to find their own ways by doing so they would surely curb corruption. The Supreme Court Upholds Uhuru's Win

The Supreme Court has upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta's Re-election on October 26 poll. The rulling was made on Monday at 10 am by a six -Judge bench led by the Chief justice David Maraga. The  The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat election conducted on Thursday, October 26. Chief Justice David Maraga said the Supreme Court judges unanimously dismissed the three petitions filed to challenge Uhuru's win. Delivering the ruling that took less than 10 minutes, the Chief Justice said the three petitions as filed did not convince the court to nullify, for a second time, Uhuru's win. The court ruled that the repeat election was legitimate and Uhuru was validly elected. Maraga said the judges could not write the full judgement as they had only two days to make a determination

Torit Commissioner Confirms The Security is Normal and Stable

The commissioner of Torit County Fermo Peter Issara says the security situation in the town is calm amidst fear of recent killings. Peter says the murder of a business man by unknown gun men on Thursday is a targeted killing which he says should not scare public security, Emmanuel Radio reports Speaking in Arabic, the commissioner calls for cooperation with security organs to combat crimes in town  The official advices the population to be patient and copy the life styles of other peaceful societies in other countries  While Charles Okullu, the state chairperson for civil society network condemns the killing of a business man in Torit town. Okullu says the security in Torit is frustrating and needs serious attention. Okullu says South Sudanese must learn how to handle their grievances through peaceful means not by use of guns  At least, 6 people died in Torit town in gun fire some of whom are killed in their houses since the beginning of this
